Cast an d Crew Screening 2008

This past December, Director Edward Rosemblum and company hosted a sucessful cast and crew screening for Story About A Witch at the Roxie in San Francisco. In true Rosenblum style, guests were treated with a chance to see selected works of past and present, in addition to the much anticipated screening.

Sadly, producer Arusha Baker [thats me] was undable to attend. So readers please give all applause and credit to Edward pulling off an excellent screening and event. I have heard nothing but great reviews & excitement from our cast and crew. Here's a review from Heather Pier, cast as Mrs Stitch in Story About a Witch:

"Good things take time. I know this. It was drilled into me by my parents. But waiting for 'Story About A Witch' has been excruciating. Why? Becasue Edward Rosenblum wrote a great story. And his crew provided such a high level of professionalism, that I knew the outcome was going to be fabulous.

And finally, I got an invitation. To the highly anticipated special preview screening of 'Story of a Witch', during the 'The Sad and Secret Santa Show', at the Roxie Theater in San Francisco. The show consisted of a series of small gems of independent film work from local artists, but the crown jewel of the evening was Edward's fantasy work about the relationship between Santa Claus, his wife and the American pastime: baseball..

The theater was filled to over-capacity with cast and crew. Everyone was there. I noticed Mackenzie (who played my daughter in the film) sporting several bouquets of posies, which were gifts from fans.

And no one was dissapointed. The movie is filled with magic and enhanced by truly beautiful cinematography. Everyone seemed absorbed by the pacing, excitement and charm of the project. I know I was. The story is dark and murky at times, humorous and touching at others.

Although I've worked on much higher budget productions, the quality of this cast and crew, the story line and especially Edward and Arusha's creativity made this project extremely special to me. The film was everything I had hoped for and the wait was well worth it. I'm a fan."
